What goes into our salad bags?

We know that we put a bewildering number of leaves in our salad bags over the year. All of them are carefully selected to make your salad as delicious as possible. The harvesting of some of these leaves takes time, which means you just won’t get this selection in a conventionally grown pack of salad. And this means you can’t blame us for thinking our salad bags are extra special.

Whether you get a small or a standard bag of veg each week, during the growing season we try to make sure that everyone on our scheme gets a bag every now and again. We want everyone to enjoy our Hackney-grown salad.

Some of our leaves should be recognisable but just in case they aren’t, we’ve put together a gallery of leaves so that you can work out what you are eating. Try your hand at matching those interesting leaves in your bags with the pictures you see here.
