Apologies - the link on the posters and flyers at the market on 31 August was wrong. The one above is correct.

An amazing opportunity to see sustainable farming in action on a smallholding in the heart of the Essex countryside. Bring a picnic and we'll provide a cream tea (with vegan option).

See where Alison Bond grows the fruit, vegetables and flowers she sells at Growing Communities farmers’ market.  Enjoy a day out in nature while learning about some of the challenges faced by small-scale organic farmers and the solutions at our fingertips.

Tour the farm's outdoor spaces, glasshouses and polytunnels and meet Alison's chickens and bees. Hear about the smallholding’s history as part of the Land Settlement movement.

You will also have a chance to buy some of Alison’s delicious jams and honey. (Pay by cash or card.)

Day trip by coach from The Old Fire Station, 61 Leswin Road, London N16 7NX to Lawton, near Manningtree in Essex, and back. Suitable for all ages. Price including coach and booking fee £25.
